Mommy makeover in Istanbul and Izmir, Turkey, tummy tuck and breast surgery together

A mommy makeover combines a tummy tuck with a breast procedure, usually a lift, an augmentation or both, to correct the skin, muscle and breast changes that pregnancy and breastfeeding leave behind, something diet and exercise alone cannot fix. JFS Clinic plans your mommy makeover in Istanbul or Izmir, Turkey; your combination and price are confirmed as a personal quote.

Mommy makeover Turkey cost and available dates

There is no single mommy makeover price, because the combination that fits you decides it. Your quote is listed as personal and confirmed after your surgeon reviews your photos. Send two photos and your coordinator comes back with your personal plan, a quote and the dates your surgeon has free. Most patients are in Istanbul or Izmir within about a week, on the dates they choose.

Am I a candidate?

Who is a good candidate for a mommy makeover?

You are usually a candidate when your weight has been stable for a few months after you stop breastfeeding, the two abdominal muscles have separated by two to five centimetres, and your breasts have lost volume or dropped. A mommy makeover treats both areas in one four-to-six-hour operation.

What pregnancy changes that a mommy makeover corrects

Carrying a pregnancy stretches the connective tissue holding the two long abdominal muscles together along the midline, a gap called diastasis recti that can widen to two to five centimetres and that exercise cannot close once it has stretched this far. The skin over it loses elasticity in the same way and does not spring back on its own. Breastfeeding adds a second change over the following six to eighteen months, as breast tissue that expands and then shrinks often leaves skin looser than before, with volume sitting a few centimetres lower on the chest. A tummy tuck shortens the stretched muscle and skin; a breast lift repositions the tissue, and an implant of around 250 to 350 cc can restore volume a lift alone does not add.

Signs a mommy makeover may suit you

  • Loose, stretched abdominal skin and a muscle gap of two centimetres or more that stayed after pregnancy, independent of your current weight.
  • Breasts that feel looser or sit two centimetres or more lower than before pregnancy and breastfeeding, with or without a change in volume.
  • You have finished having children, since a future pregnancy can stretch a tummy tuck repair apart again.
  • Your weight has been stable for at least three to six months, and you are not planning a significant weight change.
  • You are a non-smoker, or able to stop well before and after surgery, and in good general health for a longer combined anaesthetic.

What to discuss at your mommy makeover consultation

  • Which combination fits you, tummy tuck with a breast lift, an implant, or both, based on your skin and breast tissue.
  • Whether your plan is safer as one combined operation or staged into two, given the total anaesthesia time.
  • Whether liposuction on the waist or flanks should be added in the same operation.
  • Where your scars will sit on both the abdomen and the breast, so the plan matches what matters to you.
  • Your full medical history, including previous pregnancies, breastfeeding and any earlier surgery.

This is general guidance, not a diagnosis. Your surgeon makes the final decision after seeing your photos and health history.

Not every mommy makeover is the same

Types of mommy makeover, which procedures are combined

"Mommy makeover" is not one fixed operation: most plans join two or three procedures in four to six hours under one general anaesthetic. Your surgeon builds the combination around what your abdomen and breasts actually need: the abdominal part is a tummy tuck, and the breast part is a lift, an implant or both.

  1. 1Tummy tuck incision, bikini line
  2. 2Abdominal muscles repaired
  3. 3Breast lift or implant, if chosen
  4. 4Belly button repositioned

Exact timing always depends on your own anatomy and the technique chosen — your surgeon confirms it after the Day 2 consultation.

One operation or two, how your surgeon decides

Combining procedures is not automatic just because you want several things done. Your surgeon adds up the realistic surgery time for the full combination you are asking for and weighs it against how long it is safe to keep you under one general anaesthetic. A tummy tuck with one breast procedure, lift or implant, usually fits comfortably into a single four-to-five-hour operation for most healthy patients. Adding liposuction on top, or combining a lift with an implant as well, pushes a plan toward the five-to-six-hour range, which is still routinely done in one sitting for suitable patients.

Where your surgeon recommends staging into two separate operations, months apart, it is usually because three or more procedures are being requested together, your general health or BMI raises the anaesthesia risk of a longer single operation, or your own photos show more extensive work is needed in one area than first expected. This is a safety decision, not a sales one — your surgeon explains it at your consultation and tells you honestly which plan applies to you before you book your flights.

The order within a single operation also follows your anatomy rather than a fixed rule. Many surgeons address the breasts first, while swelling and positioning are easiest to judge, then move to the abdominal muscle repair and skin removal, finishing with any liposuction for final contouring. Your own surgeon confirms the sequence that fits your case at the consultation.

Why patients choose a combined plan

I had my tummy tuck surgery, lipo and my breast lift. Everybody's been fantastic and they've taken great care of us. Ready to go home and get back to a normal life.

You book your flights. We arrange the hospital, the hotel and every transfer, and send you a short list of what to pause and what to pack before you travel.

  4. 4

    Fly to Istanbul or Izmir

Your 9 days in Turkey begin. Blood tests and a face-to-face consultation come first, before the combination or the date is confirmed.

What can delay your mommy makeover date

Being able to travel within a week does not mean every plan is ready to go ahead that soon. A few things decide your safest date and your safest combination, and your surgeon checks each of them before anything is confirmed. If your blood tests or the Day 2 consultation show that waiting, or staging the surgery into two operations, would be safer, the plan changes. Your safety comes before the booking.

What can move your surgery date or combination
FactorWhy it mattersWhat usually happens
Smoking or nicotineNicotine narrows blood vessels and slows healing along both incisionsYou are asked to stop for several weeks before and after surgery
Still breastfeedingBreast tissue and volume keep changing while you breastfeedSurgery usually waits several months after breastfeeding ends
Weight still changingLosing more weight later can loosen the abdominal skin againSurgery is planned once your weight has been stable for a while
Blood thinners and some supplementsThey can increase bleeding during and after a longer combined operationYour surgeon tells you what to pause and when. Never stop prescribed medication without your own doctor's advice
Plans for another pregnancyPregnancy can stretch a repaired tummy tuck and lifted breasts againMost surgeons wait until your family is complete

If you live in the UK, the NHS rarely funds a mommy makeover, because it is usually considered a cosmetic combination of procedures, so most people compare private clinics at home and abroad. Wherever you go, ask three things before you book: how soon you can be seen, whether your combination is safer as one operation or two, and who looks after you once you are home.

What changes the price: how many procedures are combined, whether an implant is added, whether liposuction is included, and whether the plan is staged into two operations. A tummy tuck with a lift only is generally priced lower than a tummy tuck with a lift and implant together. Your final quote is confirmed after your surgeon reviews your photos and your consultation notes from Day 2.

The operation

How a mommy makeover is done, step by step

On Day 3 of your trip, under general anaesthesia for four to six hours, your surgeon works in four steps: the breast lift or implant first, then the abdominal muscle repair, removal of the loose abdominal skin, and layered closure of both areas with drains usually in place.

Your mommy makeover starts under general anaesthesia, so you are fully asleep for the whole combined operation. Before you go under, your surgeon marks both treatment areas while you are still standing — the tummy tuck incision line low across the bikini line, where the abdominal muscle repair needs to run, and the breast markings for the lift or implant position agreed on Day 2.

Many surgeons address the breasts first, while swelling and positioning are easiest to judge accurately. A lift repositions the nipple and tightens the surrounding skin envelope; if an implant is included, it is placed through the same incision before the breast is closed in layers. The team then moves to the abdomen, where the sequence mirrors a standalone tummy tuck.

Inside the combined repair

  2. 2Abdominal muscles stitched togetherDeep sutures bring the muscle sheath back to the midline.
  3. 3Excess abdominal skin removedThe loose flap is pulled down and trimmed to the marked line.
  4. 4Both incisions closedLayered sutures close each area, drains usually in place.

Mommy makeover, abdomen and breast together

Underneath the abdomen, the two long muscles are usually separated by two to five centimetres along the midline — a gap your surgeon measures and closes by stitching the muscle sheath back together from the ribs to the pubic bone. With the muscles repaired, the skin and fat flap is pulled down and the excess trimmed away, and a new opening is cut for the belly button, which stays attached to its own blood supply and is repositioned a centimetre or two higher so it sits naturally on the tightened abdomen.

Both incisions are closed in layers — deeper sutures take the tension off the skin so each scar heals as thin as possible, then finer stitches close the surface — and a thin drain is usually placed at the abdomen, sometimes at the breast too, to clear fluid for the first three to seven days. Before you wake up, your compression garment and surgical bra are already in place, supporting both repairs from the moment you open your eyes.

Throughout the operation an anaesthetist watches your heart rate, oxygen levels and blood pressure, adjusting your anaesthesia as the surgery moves between the breast work, the muscle repair and the skin closure, each taking a different amount of time depending on your combination. A tummy tuck with one breast procedure typically runs four to five hours in total; adding liposuction or combining a lift with an implant takes longer simply because there is more surgical ground to cover, which is exactly why your surgeon weighs the total time before confirming a single operation.

Once the dressings and garments are on, you are moved to a recovery area where nursing staff watch you wake from the anaesthetic before you go to your hospital room for the first of your nights under observation. Drains, when used, are checked at each nursing round and usually come out within the first week, once drainage has slowed enough for your surgeon to be confident each area will heal cleanly without them.

Recovery, day by day

Mommy makeover recovery time, week by week

Most patients spend two nights in hospital, fly home on day 8 or 9, return to desk work around week 2 and are cleared for exercise at week 6 to 8. Move the slider to see how you are likely to feel at each point.

Mommy makeover recovery time
Recovery days at the hotel, wearing your compression garment and surgical bra.

Recovery from a combined tummy tuck and breast procedure happens in three broad phases, slightly longer than from either operation alone. The first week is about protecting both repairs at once — you move carefully, sleep bent at the knees with your upper body slightly raised, and let the garment and surgical bra do their job. Weeks two to six are about swelling going down in both areas, which is usually when people feel ready for a desk job again. From six weeks onward, the focus shifts from healing to the abdomen and breasts settling into their final shape.

The garment and bra are not just comfort — they hold the repaired tissue still while the deep sutures take hold, which is why they stay on day and night for the first stretch and only move to part-time wear once your surgeon is confident both repairs have settled. If drains were placed during surgery, your coordinator shows you how to empty and record them at the hotel; most people have them removed at the day-8 check-up, a little earlier if drainage has already slowed on its own.

What to expect

Mommy makeover results and scar healing

Most of the early swelling in both the abdomen and the breasts is gone within about six weeks, though both areas keep softening and settling for three to twelve months as deeper swelling resolves. Many patients notice their waistline and breast shape change by week six to eight, while the very final, settled result — especially close to the scars — takes closer to a year to show fully.

Both scars follow their own timeline. They usually start pink, slightly raised and firm to the touch for four to six weeks, softening over the following months. Keeping them out of direct sun for the first twelve months and following your surgeon's advice on scar care helps them fade to the thin, pale lines most patients end up with — though exactly how a scar matures still depends on your individual skin.

Results vary from patient to patient. Your surgeon will tell you what is realistic for your body at the consultation.

Questions

Mommy makeover in Turkey, frequently asked questions

How much does a mommy makeover cost in Turkey?

There is no fixed mommy makeover package, because every combination of procedures, and every patient's anatomy, is different. At JFS Clinic, your coordinator sends two photos to your surgeon and comes back with a personal quote, including the hospital stay, hotel nights and transfers, once the plan is confirmed.

How soon can I have a mommy makeover in Turkey?

Most JFS patients travel for surgery within about a week of their first message. You send photos, receive a personal plan with the dates available, then choose when to fly. Your surgeon confirms the final date, and which procedures are combined, only after your blood tests and the face-to-face consultation in Istanbul or Izmir.

From first message to surgery →
Can I get a mommy makeover on the NHS?

Rarely. The NHS treats a mommy makeover as a cosmetic combination of procedures and funds it only in exceptional circumstances, decided by your local health board. Most people in the UK compare private clinics, at home and abroad, by surgeon, hospital, aftercare and total cost.

Is it safe to have a mommy makeover in Turkey?

Safety comes from the surgeon, the hospital and how the combination is planned, not the country. Op. Dr. Onur Evren Yılmaz is a specialist plastic surgeon operating in a hospital licensed for international patients, and JFS Clinic is licensed for health tourism. Blood tests and a pre-operative assessment on Day 2 confirm you are fit for the combined anaesthetic before anything is scheduled. Before you book, ask how long the combined operation will run (usually 4 to 6 hours), whether staging it in two sessions would be safer for you, and how breast and abdominal aftercare is organised once you are home.

Where is the best country to get a mommy makeover?

No country can honestly claim to be the best for every patient, so compare clinics on standard points: the surgeon's specialist training and experience with combined abdominal and breast surgery in one session, a hospital licensed for international patients, a written price stating what it includes, and follow-up once you are home. At JFS Clinic you see your surgeon's name before booking and meet them before surgery. Op. Dr. Onur Evren Yılmaz, a plastic surgeon who completed his specialist training in 2012, operates, and your coordinator passes questions and photos from home to him on WhatsApp.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is a mommy makeover?

You are asleep for the operation itself. Because two areas are treated at once, most patients feel it in two places: a tight, pulling soreness across the abdomen when standing up straight, and tenderness across the chest when raising the arms, easing step by step as swelling goes down. Pain relief is provided, and how it feels varies from person to person.

Can a mommy makeover include breast implants as well as a lift?

Yes. The breast part can be a breast lift with implants, done alongside the tummy tuck in the same operation, for patients who have lost both volume and firmness. Your surgeon decides this at your consultation, based on how much your breast tissue has stretched and how much volume you want to add.

Is a mommy makeover done in one operation or two?

Most patients combining a tummy tuck with one breast procedure have everything done in a single operation. If three or more procedures are being combined, or your surgeon judges that the combined anaesthesia time would run too long to be safe, the plan is staged into two operations months apart instead. Your surgeon decides, and tells you honestly which applies to you before you travel.

How long are the scars and do they fade?

The tummy tuck scar runs hip to hip, low enough to sit under most underwear and swimwear. A breast lift or augmentation scar usually runs around the areola and down to the breast crease, depending on the technique. Both start pink and slightly raised, then gradually flatten and fade over the following months to a year.

When can I fly home after a mommy makeover?

Usually on day 8 or 9, a day or two later than after a tummy tuck alone, because your surgeon checks both the abdominal and the breast incisions before signing you off. On the flight keep your compression garment and surgical bra on, book an aisle seat so you can get up every hour, and let someone else lift your case.

What are people saying about mommy makeovers in Turkey?

Patient videos on this page let you hear from people who have had surgery with JFS Clinic, in their own words. Experiences differ, because the combination of procedures and your recovery are personal. Ask your coordinator anything you would like to know, and your surgeon explains what to expect for your own body at the consultation in Istanbul or Izmir.

How soon will I see my final result?

Initial swelling in both the abdomen and the breasts takes several weeks to settle, and most people see their shape taking form by around three months. The abdomen continues to soften for up to a year as deeper swelling resolves. Results vary from patient to patient. Your surgeon will tell you what is realistic for your body at the consultation.
